Insisting that fathers should be given adequate maternity leave at least in future at the same level as mothers who give birth to children, IIT has resigned from his job as senior vice president to take care of his daughter. Graduate from Kharagpur.

I.I.T. Ankit Joshi is a senior vice president in a leading company after studying in Kharagpur. He resigned from his high-paying job due to insufficient paternity leave. The information related to this has now come to light through the Instagram post of Humans of Bombay.

Ankit Joshi and Akansha recently welcomed a baby girl named Spiti. Although Akansha is on maternity leave to take care of Spithi, Ankit quits his job thinking that he too has to take care of the baby.

Ankit Joshi has spoken about this. “My daughter was born a few days ago. I quit my high paying job. This is a strange conclusion. Many people asked if they knew that they would have very difficult days. But having my wife Akansha by my side is enough for me.

We had decided to name our daughter Spiti while on a trip to the Spiti Valley in Himachal. That’s how our dream came true. After Spiti’s birth, our life seems to have become more fulfilling. But even before my daughter was born, I wanted to spend my days with her beyond my paternity leave. But I loved my job even though I had to go to different cities to work. But a long break was needed after Spiti was born. But I know the company I work for won’t allow it.

That is why he has been promoted as a father. Love it.” As mentioned in the resignation letter. Being with my daughter has become my life. I enjoy lullabying and lulling you to sleep at night. A month has passed. It is a sleepless, exciting, exhausting and yet joyful time. After a few months I will apply for a job. But until then, I will make the most of this time for my daughter.

My wife Aakashna also got promoted to manager a few days before Spiti’s birth. Being good at motherhood and at work is satisfying. But at the same time, it saddens me to see how most companies offer paternity leave for fathers.

It not only diminishes the father’s bond with the children, but also diminishes his responsibility as a father. The decision I have made is not so easy. But I hope such a change will come in the future. Because being with my daughter for so many days is more fulfilling than running around and working.”
