A young woman from Florida became her father‘s savior after his death. Symaria Glenn, just thirteen years old, passed away unexpectedly, but her legacy continued through the miracle of organ donation.
According to local reports, it was the girl’s own family that decided to donate her organs after her death, surely without knowing that her own father would be one of the beneficiaries of that act of kindness.
“I was praying for a miracle in the hospital. His life was that miracle,” Dhima Martin, Symaria’s mother, shared with reporters.
It was reported that Symaria’s health changed drastically on January 31 when she complained of a headache.
“Not knowing how serious it was, his brain was bleeding. So, she was taken to a local hospital and then flown to Joe DiMaggio.”Martin said.
After about a week in the hospital, Symaria lost her life, devastating all her loved ones.
Despite the pain, this Florida family made the brave decision to donate their organs. “I still believed that God would do the impossible: save her,” Martin said, reflecting the hope he maintained until the end.

The generosity of Symaria and her family resulted in a gift of life for five people (including her father) who had never revealed to his children that he was on dialysis and urgently needed a kidney transplant. It was precisely Symaria’s kidney that saved her life.
“She would have wanted that. “She would have wanted to save her father,” the woman noted, highlighting the unconditional love of a daughter towards her father.
Symaria’s story has not only touched the hearts of many but also highlights the importance and positive impact of organ donation.
The Florida community now remembers Symaria as a bright light who, even in death, continues to light the way for others.
