Park Soo-hong enjoyed ordinary happiness. He went to the OB/GYN with his wife Kim Da-ye for a checkup, and was relieved to hear that his gestational diabetes levels had stabilized. Then, when he checked his daughter Jeonbok’s condition through an ultrasound, he felt overwhelmed with emotion, and enjoyed the joy of his daily life that had changed because of his daughter Jeonbok.
Park Soo-hong showed his extraordinary love for his wife, making onlookers happy. Park Soo-hong carefully massaged his wife from her hands to her feet, and said, “My wife gained 25 kg due to pregnancy and hormone changes, but she’s still so pretty,” looking at her with eyes that still drip with honey. He also surprised everyone by quickly making dishes such as steamed cypress and tofu noodle carbonara. He said, “I have a chef’s license,” and used his extraordinary skills to take care of his wife’s diet.
Among them, Park Soo-hong revealed his experience with in vitro fertilization, which made viewers emotional. Park Soo-hong said, “The situation was difficult at the time, so I lost 30 kg. I was diagnosed with malnutrition. I couldn’t fulfill my role as a man. My sperm motility was low, so I had no choice but to undergo in vitro fertilization,” expressing his gratitude toward his daughter Jeon Bok-i, who came to him like a miracle in the midst of his difficult situation, and his apologies to his wife. MC Choi Ji-woo deeply sympathized with Park Soo-hong’s feelings, saying, “I’ve also failed at in vitro fertilization many times. I thought I failed and got on the plane, but the moment we took off, I got a text message saying it was successful. I was worried I’d get bitten by mosquitoes overseas, so I armed myself with long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and a blanket and came to Korea the next day,” confessing his earnest situation, making viewers even more emotional.
Park Soo-hong also prepared baby supplies for Jeonbok. For the first time in his life, he tried wrapping Jeonbok in a diaper, and with the help of the camera director, he learned how to use the diaper, causing laughter. The sight of 53-year-old father-to-be Park Soo-hong carrying a doll and getting ready to hold his daughter Jeonbok in his arms brought a warm smile and cheers from the viewers.
‘Superman Returns’ starring Park Soo-hong recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.1% according to Nielsen Korea. This is a slight drop from last week’s episode’s rating of 3.3%.
