As a prelude to the commemoration of the year 66 of national independence and as part of the continuation of the activities of independence week dedicated to Guinean women, the Prefectural Directorate of Education (DPE) of Boké organized this Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Youth Center, a conference-debate with the central theme “the role of women in the birth and development of Guinea”.

Administrative and school authorities, school delegates from elementary education (DSEE) Boké 1 and 2, directors and teachers in class as well as students from local schools (public-private) took part in the event. chaired by the prefect, Colonel Sény Silver Camara.

The conference was moderated by the DSEE of Sangarédi 2, Ms. Tounkara, Fatou Condé. On behalf of the regional education inspectorate (IRE) of Boké, Ibrahima Fofana paid vibrant tribute to the President of the Republic, General Mamadi Doumbouya for having dedicated this week to Guinean women.

In his communication for the occasion, the prefect of Boké, Colonel Sény Silver Camara, estimated that the annual celebration of the October 2 festival served as a reminder that sustainable development follows a long process.

In a humorous tone, Colonel Sény Silver Camara made the crowded room of students and teachers vibrate with the slogan “Mamadi Doumbouya!” Mamadi Doumbouya! », before continuing his intervention by maintaining: “I am proud of the gestures of the Head of State who makes peace and the unity of Guineans his hobby horse for an emerging Guinea…”.

For him, the names of great figures such as M’Baliya Camara, Hadja Jeanne Martin Cissé and Hadja Mafory Bangoura will remain eternally engraved in the history of Guinea. This is because of the crucial role they have played in the lasting transformation of our country for the benefit of many generations.

Presenting on the central theme “the role of women in the birth and development of Guinea”, the speaker largely returned to the anti-colonialist role played by women. After Guinea gained its independence, Guinean women continued to shine in the peaceful resolution of crises, the stability of Guinea and the interguinean dialogue.

During the ceremony, Ms. Diop Fatoumata Kémoko Traoré, regional education inspector (IRE) was designated a Model Woman in Education for the Boké prefecture.

At the presentation of the satisfaction, the DPE of Boké, Ibrahima Fofana declared: “The model woman that we are celebrating today in Boké, indicates Mr. Fofana, “embodies inspiration, dynamism, leadership and commitment in work always well done.”

Visibly moved, the model woman of Boké teachers, Ms. Diop Fatoumata Kémoko Traoré (FATRA) for close friends, spoke: “I thank all the women who fight for the emancipation of their families and all of the People of Guinea . I thank the Guinean government which decided to celebrate Guinean women. Let us agree to work to free our minds and above all, seek to train ourselves for our own empowerment and establish peace in our country. Let’s also encourage young girls to become role models…”

For Mamadouba Savané, head of the planning section at the IRE in Boké, says: “Ms. Fatoumata Kémoko Traoré, apart from all connotations, has striking characters. She is efficient, humble, social, religious, believing. We say thank you to the organizers of this event. This act goes straight to our hearts. And our support for the smooth running of the Boké IRE will not be lacking.”
