The idea of the SYRIZA member of parliament -turned-varial- to make a statement from the burned areas of Eastern Attica, to indicate that he and his party are present next to the tested residents and to take a video, where a tree is burning behind him – obviously to give a dramatic dimension – is not surprising. Politicians are used to it. They go to places of fire and make sure to inform their followers on social media as well as the media with press releases, about their presence with a background of inferno. PS Another favorite habit of theirs, is to compete “after actions” of which will come more canards. If someone sees it rationally and beyond sentimentality, he comes to the conclusion that operational coordination is left to the “follow-up actions” of each politician and not to those in charge (in fires in this case) who decide, they should have the first say and all the rest should follow.
