Fayette county Man Dies After Being Pinned Under Vehicle in Driveway
A tragic accident in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, resulted in the death of a man who became trapped under his own vehicle. The incident, currently classified as an accidental death by authorities, occurred at the man’s home in Uniontown.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to a call on Saturday morning reporting a man had been run over by a vehicle.upon arrival, officers discovered a man had become pinned beneath the front tire of his car.
The inquiry revealed a sequence of events leading to the fatal incident. The man reportedly pulled into his driveway, failed to engage the parking brake, and exited the vehicle. As the car began to roll backward,the open driver’s side door inadvertently pulled him to the ground,positioning him directly under the front tire.
Remarkably, family members and a concerned passerby were able to free the man from under the vehicle before the arrival of law enforcement. He was immediately transported to Uniontown Hospital for medical attention, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
“Troopers arrived to find the man had already been extricated by those on scene,” a senior official stated.
The Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. While the incident is currently being treated as accidental, authorities are meticulously reviewing all evidence to ensure a complete understanding of the events.
