Bulls are ready to pay
Krasnodar began to announce new transfers even before the New Year. The other day, the “townspeople” signed a contract for three and a half years with 21-year-old striker Eric Butheim from the Norwegian “Bude Glimt”. The footballer hails from Oslo, is a graduate of the local club “Leung”. Already in 2015, at the age of fifteen, he made his debut for the main team of his team. In 2016, he signed a contract with Rosenborg, for which he subsequently played 34 matches and scored nine goals.
Since 2021, Butheim has been a player for Bude-Glimt, in which he regularly scored in the Norwegian Elite Series and in European competitions, including in the Champions League qualification matches against Polish Legia (the Norwegians lost – 2: 3 and 0: 2, Butheim just struck his head in the 45th minute of the first meeting). One of the most memorable moments with the participation of the Norwegian in the Bodde-Glimt club was the double against Roma in the Conference League match (6: 1). In that match, the Norwegian scored three more assists. In total, for Bude-Glimt, Butheim has played 46 matches since February 17, 2021, scored 22 goals and gave ten assists. It is noteworthy that last year the footballer did not score a single goal in fifteen matches for Stabek.
The striker was regularly called up to the youth and youth teams of Norway, he took part in the youth “Euro-2017” and “Euro-2018”. In total, the forward has fourteen goals scored at the national team level.
According to the Norwegian newspaper “Verdens Gang”, Krasnodar paid about eight million euros for the striker. But due to bonuses, the transfer amount can increase up to ten million euros. The footballer has already commented on his transfer.
– I could play in Bude-Glimt for a very long time. But when such an offer comes in, I do not think that the club or I have the right to refuse. I am happy that I had the opportunity to try my hand at the Russian championship. I think it’s cool that Krasnodar is ready to pay so much for me. Hopefully worth the investment. Does the transfer amount create additional pressure on me? It doesn’t really bother me. I try to focus on scoring goals and becoming the best footballer in Krasnodar. I always dreamed of playing football abroad, and then a Russian top club appeared that wanted me. I watched a video of Krasnodar’s games and it looks like they are playing cool football that suits me. This is a step forward compared to Norway. I hope that I can meet the high level, – said Butheim.
Experts note that the footballer plays well positional football, is ready to do teamwork, and is active in playing along. Butheim is also able to make quick decisions on the field, he knows how to play with a minimum number of touches. Of the 22 goals scored last season, the striker scored nineteen with the first touch, and scored eight with his head. The striker’s weak point is dribbling.
Lost to everyone
Volleyball club “Dynamo” continues to play in the Russian championship. As part of the seventh round, the “white-blue” hosted the reigning champion of the country – Kaliningrad “Lokomotiv”. Today this team is also leading in the standings. This match was played without spectators.
Dynamo played on equal terms in the first set, but lost. Then I won the second game. The heroines of this segment of the game were Yulia Podskalnaya and Valeria Shevchuk. The first served, and the second scored. Then there was the failed third set. Victory in the fourth game again. The diagonal Bohumila Byarda performed especially well here. The block worked well for the dynamos. Maria Perepelkina and Anna Kotikova actively helped to score points.
In the fifth set Lokomotiv was forced to pull themselves together and crush their rivals with a class. The Kaliningrad players managed to convert eight counterattacks, and won four more goals thanks to the block. The match ended with the defeat of Dynamo – 2: 3 (23: 25, 26: 24, 9: 25, 25: 21, 9: 15). At the same time Krasnodar players were able to take points from Lokomotiv for the first time in history.
Then there was a home game against the capital “Dynamo”. It is noteworthy that the head coach of the Moscow team is now the long-term mentor of Krasnodar women, Konstantin Ushakov. In addition to the coach, there were four volleyball players in the camp of rivals who had previously played for the Krasnodar club under the leadership of this coach: Natalya Khodunova, Ekaterina Pipunyrova, Maria Bibina, Maria Khaletskaya. The spectators were finally able to attend this match.
Despite the fact that the Krasnodar players showed themselves well in this match – they received, blocked, defended, served, they could not win even one game. Muscovites acted flawlessly: they were collected in the attack, showed team play, perfectly blocking. The Krasnodar players had a chance to take at least one game set, and more than one, but the opponents’ leaders did their best so that Ushakov returned from Krasnodar with three points. The meeting ended with a score of 0: 3 (11: 25, 21: 25, 20: 25).
Then there was a home match against Dynamo-Ak Bars. The team from Kazan arrived without a head coach. Rishat Gilyazutdinov suffered an illness, and so far the doctors forbid him to travel anywhere. Spectators were able to visit this fight again.
In this game, the cauldrons outplayed Krasnodar in the attack. Opponents scored more in any game situation: with perfect finishing, with bad ones, and getting a chance after playing in defense. But the team of Pavel Zabuslaev was able to win the first game. As the mentor of the “white-blue” said after the match, his players played at the maximum in the opening set. And then the hostesses began to make mistakes, get nervous.
Zabuslaev tried to strengthen the attack during the meeting, to take risks. But the reception was weak, the attack did not work. The game ended with the third consecutive defeat with a score of 1: 3 (25: 17, 12: 25, 22: 25, 17: 25). Krasnodar Dynamo lost to all the leaders of the championship.
Then there was a away game against Uralochka-NTMK. Dynamo arrived in Yekaterinburg without the central blocker Anastasia Ogolikhina and the tie-in Polina Bogacheva. Volleyball players went to Tyumen for the round of the Youth League of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation. Perepelkina did not go to the match either. She was given the opportunity to rest. Olga Zvereva also stayed in Krasnodar.
The game was equal. In the first game, Dynamo had five set points and three attacks, which could put an end to the game. Uralochka, in fact, started playing with a score of 6: 2, changing the course of events from the moment Vera Kostyuchek started serving. The player of the national team of Belarus first equalized the score by hitting the block – 28: 28, then Uralochka’s forward Ksenia Smirnova sent the ball to the floor. Shevchuk made a mistake, accepting the serve.
In the second game, the hostesses achieved an advantage of four goals before the ending began. Ksenia Parubets’ and Kostyuchek’s feeds helped. Dynamo’s attacking play was not important. The outcome of the game was largely decided by Parubets. In the match against Dynamo, she scored thirty points. The most productive and most effective player in the league, she perfectly accepted, forcing Krasnodar players to look for other options when putting the ball into play, gaining at least six points in each game.
Dynamo managed to snatch only the third game. But already in the fourth set, Parubets won nine goals. In the third game, Zabuslaev received a yellow card. This decision is no longer penalized with a point in favor of the opponent. The reason for the punishment of the coach was the lengthy analysis of the video challenge. The meeting ended with a score of 3: 1 (30: 28, 25: 19, 22: 25, 25: 22).
Then there was a home game against “Minchanka” – the Belarusian team led by Stanislav Salikov, who worked as Ushakov’s assistant at “Dynamo” for six seasons. Perepelkina was again unable to take part in this game. The reason is the state of health. And the absence of the honored master of sports of Russia was felt. For the first time in the championship, Dynamo lost a block with a difference of five goals. The hostesses also suffered from the quality of presentation. Dynamo could only win the first game. In the other three “Minskanka” decided everything long before the ending. Zabuslaev tried to change something, rotated the receiving line, tried all the options in the attack. It was all in vain. The opponents played better, defeating Dynamo for the first time in their history – 1: 3 (26: 24, 15: 25, 16: 25, 13:25).
The last match of 2021 Dynamo played away against the Saratov Proton. Krasnodar players came to the game by bus, continuing to have staffing problems. In the reserve were the diagonal Alisa Glushchenko and those who arrived on the day of the game from Kaliningrad, from the youth round, blocking Anastasia Ogolikhina and connecting Polina Bogacheva. Shevchuk and Svetlana Masaleva were on the list, but they could not help the team due to injuries. Zabuslaev’s team did not have enough human resources. And “Proton” played more collected, fresher, more effective. Yuri Marichev’s team lost only the second set. Dynamo made a lot of mistakes – 3: 1 (25: 20, 22: 25, 25: 13, 25: 19). This defeat was the sixth in a row for the “blue-white”. As a result, after twelve matches of the preliminary stage of the Russian championship, Krasnodarsk with fifteen points occupy eighth place in the standings. And Dynamo can go down even more if the teams below can score points, bringing the number of their games to the same number as that of Zabuslaev’s team.
