Islamabad: Imran Khan’s allies are leaving the country for fear of retaliation from political opponents once the fall of the captured Imran is confirmed. Farah Khan, a close friend of Imran’s third wife Bushra Bibi, has finally left the country. They reportedly fled the country for fear of arrest in a $ 32 million scam. They are currently in Dubai. Farah Khan’s husband Jamil Gujjar had earlier moved to Dubai.
Farah Khan left the country for Dubai last Sunday, The Express Tribune reports. The political climate created after the Deputy Speaker rejected the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan prompted them to leave the country. This is due to the fear of being arrested if the new government comes to power. The opposition alleges that Farah Khan bribed government officials to relocate them to places of their choice. They have taken a huge amount of money in this way. The opposition therefore calls Farah Khan the ‘mother of all corruption’. Farah Khan thus acquired about six billion Pakistani rupees ($ 32 million).
It has been alleged that Imran Khan and his wife were involved in these activities. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has accused Farah Khan of corruption at her behest. As Imran Khan weakens, more of his comrades are reportedly planning to leave the country and move to safer places.
