Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s private industry and investment advisor Salman F. Rahman met with Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Energy Minister Engineer Mohammad Al Ibrahim. The meeting was held in the office room of the Assistant Energy Minister of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (April 30) night At this time, they discussed various issues of partnership between the two countries

The Saudi assistant minister said that the joint initiative of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia has completed the feasibility study of urea fertilizer factory. They are now working on the technical issues and will meet with the Bangladesh technical team.

In the meeting, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Energy informed Bangladesh of their interest in energy cooperation and said, ‘The proposal offered by Bangladesh to purchase crude oil on a deferred payment basis is under active consideration by the Saudi government.’
They also discussed the JV DAP fertilizer plant in the meeting.

On the same day, Salman F Rahman MP also held a meeting with Saad Al Korad, Chief of Staff and Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

At this time, PIF Secretary General Salman F. Rahman was welcomed to his office and praised the economic development of Bangladesh. The Secretary General expressed his satisfaction with the investment of Saudi company Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) in Patenga port.

They also shared a list of 80 Saudi companies interested in investing in various sectors in Bangladesh. PIF expressed interest to join the development journey of Bangladesh through their company

After attending the special meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F. Rahman MP held these meetings.
