The next Android operating system will be available for smartphones in the fall. This was reported by Tech Advisor, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.
Media authors suggested that the OS release would traditionally take place in late summer or early autumn. So, Android 14 was released in October 2023, Android 13 – August 2022. The announcement of the new system will take place at Google’s presentation in May.
According to insiders, Android 15 will have new widgets that can be placed on the locked display of the device. Experts have revealed an important feature of the OS – it will receive support for split-screen mode, when two applications can be opened simultaneously on one display.
In addition, the OS will receive a Private Space function, with which the user can add a secret profile to the smartphone. In this mode, all data on the device will be highly protected. Google engineers should also update the NFC function – device owners will be able to more easily interact with accessories that support short-range wireless data transmission technology.
