Federico Anliker: “A dock will be built in the port of Acajutla”

The president of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), Federico Anliker, reported on the construction of a dock in the port of Acajutla along with the other phases that will be developed in that place.

“The port of Acajutla will have all the equipment it needs to be an efficient and modern port, and other issues of maintenance, buildings, systems and technology will follow; that will be phase 1,” said the head of CEPA.

As for the construction of the dock, the port will have a frontage of 510 meters by a depth of 250 meters, with its own container yard.

“And in phase 2, there are $906 million, which will start in year six onwards,” the official added, also detailing that they will build another dock in the port of Acajutla, 390 meters wide by 287 meters wide, with its container yard, cranes, equipment, new buildings and workshops.

“The initial phase, phase 1 and phase 2, is the sum of $1.615 billion,” summarized CEPA president Federico Anliker.
