jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Federico Chiesa has officially joined Liverpool, after being brought in from Juventus.
Chiesa also added to the list of The Reds’ front line players. He admitted that he was not afraid to compete with Liverpool’s front line which is filled with big names, such as Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez.
From two Premier League games so far, Liverpool’s forwards have scored four goals. Salah has two goals and one assist, Jota has one goal and one assist, and Diaz has one goal and one assist.
“So, I know that I come here with a lot of competition in my role also because in front of me there are players like Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Jota, Nunez,” said Chiesa, quoted from the club’s official website, Friday (30/8).
“I know what they are capable of doing, but I also know what I am capable of doing. So, I am here to give my best and give my best to the fans as well,” he added.
When asked what his strengths were, the 26-year-old admitted that he had a very good work ethic, skills and ability in one-on-one duels.
Chiesa hopes that the quality he brings can produce a wealth of goals and assists.
“I hope to score goals and provide assists because that’s what an attacking player should do,” he said.
