jpnn.comJAKARTA – A resident with the initials SYK in Central Sulawesi feels criminalized due to his suspect status in a fraud and/or embezzlement case reported by FSK, his business partner.

He has also appointed Petrus Selestinus SH, Erick S Paat SH, Paulet Jemmy Stenly Mokolensang SH and Ricky Daniel Moningka SH, advocates from the Indonesian Democracy Defense Team (TPDI) to be his lawyers.

TPDI Coordinator Petrus Selestinus said that SYK was a suspect based on Police Report No. LP/B/355/XII/2021/SPKT/Polda Sulteng dated December 1, 2021.

SYK is suspected of committing fraud and/or embezzlement as referred to in Article 378 and Article 372 of the Criminal Code.

The legal relationship between SYK and FSK is a cooperative relationship for the sale and purchase of shares in CV Selaras Maju, one of the objects of which is the management of a permit to borrow and use forest areas in Lalampu Village, Bahodopi District, Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi.

“However, why did FSK report SYK to the Central Sulawesi Regional Police and the report was processed unprofessionally and even caused new legal problems?” asked Petrus.

Based on the above report, said Petrus, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, based on the Investigation Order (Sprindik) No. SP.Sidik/457/XII/2023/Ditreskrimum dated December 4, 2023 in conjunction with the Suspect Determination Letter No. S.Tap/22/III/2024/Ditreskrimum dated March 24, 2024, determined SYK’s suspect status and even detained him.
