The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has charged hard this Monday against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for its ads in mental health and primary care, a figure that sees “a joke.”In fact, it has stressed that the 580 million euros to strengthen primary care “is not even worth fixing the roof of the health center.”

This was stated in an act in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria together with the candidate for the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, and the candidate for mayor of the town, Jimena Delgado. Previously, he has visited San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife), where he has taken a step together with Domínguez and the candidate for Mayor, Ana Zurita.

After Pedro Sánchez announced on Saturday in Valencia that the Council of Ministers will approve an investment of 580 million this week to reinforce primary care, Feijóo has questioned the amount of that figure among the 13,000 health centers in Spain. “The other day it occurred to him to say that he is going to put 580 million euros for 13,000 health centers. Well, it is very easy: 583 million divided into 13,000, a total of 44,000 euros per health center. It is not even worth fixing the roof of each one. But what joke are you trying to sell?” has been asked. In the same way, he has criticized the game that the Government is going to allocate to mental health, after Sánchez has announced an additional game of 38.5 million euros. “For mental health, 30 million euros throughout Spain. But who makes the health proposals to the President of the Government?”, he asked.

In this sense, He has been convinced that in the Canary Islands alone, despite their waiting lists, “more than 30 million euros are spent on mental health a year.” “And this man wants to put this money for all of Spain, I insist, this is a joke and we have to put an end to the jokes”he emphasized.

In addition, Feijóo has criticized the proposals he announced last week, such as “inviting the elderly to the movies on Tuesdays” or Interrail trips for young people. In his opinion, it would be “better” and “more reasonable” to lower VAT on meat, fish and preserves. “And about the Interrail, all the young people of the Canary Islands are delighted, because they can easily go by train to all places in Spain”, he ironized, to appeal to the useful vote for the PP so that there is a “change” from next 28 of May.

After assuring that “sanchismo” has “liquidated the PSOE” and “has transformed it into the sanchista party”, he has accused the head of the Executive of having “abandoned the real socialists”, “the middle classes, the women and the workers”. “In short, Sánchez has abandoned the social majority and the social majority will abandon Sánchez next Sunday”, he has sentenced.

During his speech, Feijóo assured that “we need to improve the country, get out of the hole, create jobs, not raise taxes or get into debt up to our eyebrows,” said the president of the PP who assures that “change for change’s sake is not enough. It is necessary to change to make changes.”

Likewise, he denounced that the Executive has collected 42,000 million more last year in taxes and that every hour it indebts the Spanish with eight million euros. “This government is going to leave a huge debt for our children and our grandchildren. Nobody asked them for permission. They do not have permission to leave this debt,” he added.

In addition, the leader of the PP stressed that the Canary Islands do not deserve that Sanchismo has put the islands on the map of national politics due to the Tito Berni corruption scandal,” Feijóo said to stress the need to talk about job creation and opportunities in the Islands, competitiveness, technology and taxation, “not bribes, parties and mediators”, he said.

For all this, he once again encouraged those who do not accept broken promises and lies to vote for the PP; to those who do not want their future to be decided improvised at party rallies; that they reject governments in which Podemos decides and the independence movement prevails, and that they are outraged that sanchismo agrees with Bildu.
