1st regional conference of the Auf in Dakar: Félicien Avlessi, Marcelin Zannou and others take part in the work

The Rector of the University of Abomey-Calavi, Félicien Avlessi, and other representatives of the universities of Benin participated in the first Regional Conference of Rectors and Presidents of Member Establishments of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in West Africa. The meeting was held from Wednesday July 5 to Thursday July 6, 2023 in Dakar, Senegal. The objective of this great meeting is to create a mix between the schools, in order to facilitate the sharing of experiences by identifying the possibilities of partnership between the member establishments of the AUF on priority themes of the sub-region in occurrence of the AUF’s strategy during 2021-2025. In total, five (05) Beninese establishments, full members of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), took part in this meeting. In particular the University of Abomey-Calavi represented by Rector Félicien Avlessi; the University of Parakou represented by Rector Bertrand SogbossiBocco; the National University of Agriculture which had as representative the Vice-Rector Carolle Avocèvou Ayisso. The Higher Institute of Audiovisual Professions (Isma) represented by its Founding President, Marcellin Zannou, and Pigier Benin represented by President Victor VihotogbéAssogba. For two days, they discussed relevant mechanisms to ensure student entrepreneurship as well the employability of graduates trained in schools on the one hand, and the networking of said schools to ensure quality training, on the other hand.
At the end of the work, the Beninese part composed of the five establishments obtained the status of Full Member of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.
