The former Argentine fly-half will be the new Pumas coach, succeeding Australian Michael Cheika, the Argentine Rugby Federation (UAR) announced on Monday. Who reached an agreement with the UAR to leave his post.

Felipe Contepomi (46 years old, 87 caps including 25 as captain of Argentina) was Cheika’s deputy in charge of the backs. Position he held with the Irish province of Leinster from 2018 to 2022.
