The country does not belong to Pepi Euroto and the Notary, it belongs to the Bulgarian society. The prosecutor’s office is called, and I believe the vast majority of fellow prosecutors work to protect the state and public interest. I believe it and I can say it with conviction. This was stated in “More of the day” on BNT Vladimir Nikolov – chairman of the Association of Prosecutors, district prosecutor of Pleven.
“These scandals that we witnessed are unacceptable in a country governed by the rule of law. Now is the time for all responsible state institutions and bodies to do their job and make such things impossible for people like those who acquired citizenship with certain nicknames, so that they cannot parasitize the judicial system and the entire society”, stressed Nikolov.
“But mud should definitely not be thrown at an entire institution and the professionalism, conscientiousness and honesty of thousands of Bulgarian prosecutors should not be called into question.”
When asked why while Bojanov was alive, the reports against him were covered up, Vladimir Nikolov answered:
“It is a fallacy that all the shortcomings in such processes are due to the prosecutor’s office. We have our weaknesses and we are the system that has the ability to cleanse itself of such vicious practices. But – figuratively speaking, there is no way the fight against corruption and crime will happen at all , if the other elements of the puzzle are missing. The prosecutor’s office must work in sync with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the court. When the Bulgarian institutions do not work in sync, the corresponding results will not be achieved.”
The chairman of the Association of Prosecutors has denied attending the private judges’ club, which is believed to have been led by Martin Bojanov, nicknamed the Notary. Vladimir Nikolov emphasized that he found out about the existence of the late Bojanov only after his murder.
“I sincerely hope that the investigation into the relevant cases will get to the truth.”
Judge Tsarigradska did not file a report with the Pleven Prosecutor’s Office about the threats against her, Nikolov also pointed out.
