During the early hours of July 11, the Fermatta Music University Center, located at 7 Avenida de la República, in the Cuauhtémoc district of Mexico City, was evacuated.
After that, all the musical instruments, as well as furniture, audio consoles, pianos, speakers, packaging items and a significant amount of expensive equipment, are on the sidewalk, so some people have started to loot them.

In a video circulating on social media, it can be seen how, despite the fact that elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) were present at the eviction of the music school in front of the Monument to the Revolution, a young man wearing a black sweatshirt and a cap, black sweatpants, began to grab cables and a computer; however, when asked to identify himself as a student of said institution, he had no way to do so, so he had to return the items he had grabbed.
Police also briefly took his cell phone away from him, but returned it to him when they checked his property. He was not arrested; however, he was asked to leave the area.

Why was Fermatta evacuated?
According to testimonies from teachers and students, the music school was evacuated without warning.
So far, the authorities have not reported on the reasons for the eviction from the building, nor have the university’s management or staff made any statements on the matter.
