Very difficult life for Poland and, consequently, for Fernando Santos in qualifying for the 2024 European Championship. On their visit to Albania, the team coached by the former Portuguese coach lost 2-0, in a scenario that places them in 4th and penultimate place in group E.
With five games played, Poland has six points, the result of two wins and three defeats. Thus, the team captained by Lewandowski is already four points away from leading the group and two away from 2nd place, even though Czechia, which occupies that same position, has played one less game.
The Polish defeat on Albanian territory began to build in the 37th minute, when Asani, slumped to the right side, launched a strong left-footed shot and beat Szczesny.
