Ferrari tries its best to protect its brand and last year destroyed more than 400,000 fake products bearing the emblem of the famous horse. Sellers of fake Ferrari memorabilia, clothing and even cars should beware as they could be next.

In an infographic shared on social media, the Italian brand revealed that of the hundreds of thousands of fakes that were destroyed, three of them were cars.

In 2023, 100,351 pieces of Ferrari gear were scrapped. In addition, 30,161 perfumes, 17,231 bags, 17,438 pairs of shoes and 60,903 watches were thrown away. 13,415 belts, 800 scooters, 872 prams, 91,229 glasses, 1,092 soccer balls and 57,503 wallets were also scrapped by Ferrari.

Ferrari promotes an anti-counterfeiting reward scheme that rewards those who report a product potentially infringing Ferrari’s trademarks sold in a commercial environment. Those who report counterfeits on the company’s site must provide details of the business selling it, the approximate number of products involved and photos that show imitation Ferrari trademarks, including labels.
