THE MOST ICONIC MODEL – There is the Game Ferrari F80 is the completely new hybrid coupé (and the most powerful and most expensive model) from the Maranello company: a two-seater heir a trend started by the GTO in 1984 and continued with the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. Cars that brought the best of the Maranello company’s technology to the road, taking advantage of the experiences gained in the Formula 1 races of their time: the GTO and the F40 had a twin-turbo engine, while the F50 introduced Naturally aspirated V12. (derived from a single seat, and as in racing cars with a load-carrying function); this engine was also retained for the subsequent LaFerrari. And now, as it has been for a few years now Formula 1but also in the World Endurance Championship (Ferrari won the last two 24 hours of Le Mans with the 499P), here V6 turbohere 3.0, able 900 hp and supported by the MGU-H and the MGU-K, the electric units which – together with the two front motors, also powered by the current – provide the total power to 1.200 CV. There are many of them, even if 58 are less than those of the recent McLaren W1 (EDS the news).
RECORD SPECIFIC POWER – The heat engine of Game Ferrari F80 that results in 296 of 2021 (EDS the first contact) but it is revived, and many; it gained 237 HP, obtaining a very high specific power: 300 HP per liter of displacement. What makes this possible are solutions such as connecting rods (in titanium) and pistons with a toothed interface to ensure the highest possible precision in coupling with the bearings. Compared to those of the 296, the pistons are lightened, as are the crank case, crank sub-case, timing cover and other components; titanium screws have also been introduced. The 300 HP of the 800 volt electrical system is added to the 900 HP of the V6. Yes Game Ferrari F80 it does not provide the possibility to run on electricity only, or to use charging cables: it is a complete hybridso the battery regeneration happens automatically during freewheeling and braking, through the MGU-K (the electrical unit attached to the crank) and the MGU-H (which uses the heat of the gases coming from the turbines instead to generate electricity). The energy is recovered, which is stored in the drums of 2.3 kWh of capacity, which is then partly given to the MGU-K itself, which supports the V6 located in the rear-central part of the car, and partly to the two front electric motor.
ELECTRIC ALL-WHEEL DRIVE, “Race” Brakes. – There is the all-wheel drive it is obtained precisely thanks to engines electric fronteach of them gives 142 CV. This architecture offers the possibility of generating torque vectoring on the front axle: the electronics instantly change the power sent to each wheel, affecting the car’s balance when cornering. The performance? 2.2 seconds for 0-100 km/h and 5.8 seconds for 0-200 km/h. Very effective braking: according to the house, the Game Ferrari F80 it stops, from 100 km/h, in 28 meters. From 200 km/h to 0, 98 meters is enough. Results made possible by the Brembo CCM-R Plus brakes, made with materials and technologies used until now only in racing, such as braking surfaces coated with a layer of silicon compounds (SiC), which guarantees greater wear resistance and reduced run time.
OVER 1000 KG “AIR” – Given the powers and speeds involved, to guarantee road holding and stabilityaerodynamics it takes a central role. The required load is generated by themovable rear wing (it lifts and tilts as needed), the rear exhaust, the molded bottom of the car and the front duct that carries the air that goes under the car towards the wind in the bonnet. Everything generates 1,050 kg load vertical at 250 km/h. Such sophisticated aerodynamics are very sensitive to changes in trim: significant oscillations of the body (for example during braking, when the front part of the car lowers) would change the balance of the car. To avoid danger thanks to the use of it active suspension (which works thanks to a 48 V electrical network), which is able to compensate very quickly the forces developed during the drive.
“Huge” STYLE. – About designunlike what has happened so far, the bodywork is not designed around the mechanics. The aerodynamic look and style have taken on more visual weight, making the Game Ferrari F80 not as slim as the Enzo and later the LaFerrari: there is no “flare” at the sides, in particular, and this adds a lot to the attitude of the F80 huge. Then there is a clear reference to the recent 12Cilindri granturismo (EDS the first contact) in the black band that connects the headlights.
A DIFFERENT COCKPIT THAN BUSINESS – For the house, the Game Ferrari F80 is “1+: one one seat two seater“. It is necessary to explain the definition: the a seat of the passenger was a little arrears and is placed next to the driver’s head, and is black with carbon fiber “camouflage” of the passenger compartment (the driver’s head is red). Actually, after seeing it, we wouldn’t define this fireball simply as a two-seater. Regarding the chassiscell and roof are included carbon fiber and composite materials, although the front and rear subframes are made of aluminum and are fixed to the cell with titanium screws. A “tank”, also made of aluminum alloy, is the battery of the hybrid system.
MORE ELECTRONIC – The Game Ferrari F80 it is also equipped with version 9.0 of SSC system (Side Slide Control), now equipped with the Integrated FIVE (Ferrari Integrated Vehicle Estimation): a mathematical model almost replicates the behavior of the car, using measurements from different sensors. The electronics are therefore able to estimate not only the trim angle in real time, as in the previous SSC, but also how much and at what speed the car is rotating itself, making the most appropriate correction need (through the brakes, for example) more. quickly and precisely than ever before.
It costs 3.6 MILLION EUROS – Would you like one of the 799 Ferrari F80 offered by 2026? As always happens with the most expensive Ferraris, the car has just been presented but it is already too late. Customers have already been contacted and almost all have chosen: in fact more than 799 people worldwide are willing to wear 3.6 million euros for a car.
