Ferrari LaFerrari with 14 km please drive

by time news

A 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari is available for sale in the house RM Sotheby’s, having traveled only 14 km. Few of the 499 Italian coupes should have less on the odometer, so the asking price of €3.95 million cannot be considered excessive.

Apparently it was bought about €2.5 million cheaper, but that’s what happens with Ferraris in a similar condition: Their price skyrockets.

Have such a car and keep it in the garage, treating it as an investment. How do you keep from driving it?

The current owner bought the Italian in 2016, but only got her sorted in 2018. Since then, she has been meticulously maintained despite covering little distance over the years.

So it was serviced in December 2020 and June 2022, while a new hybrid battery was installed in 2021.

An upgraded lithium battery was even installed, an upgrade that Maranello itself suggested. McLaren had done something similar with the P1.

So what do you buy with almost €4 million? In addition to a Ferrari LaFerrari in brand new condition, you’ll also get some extras: a sports exhaust, a front suspension lift system, and a telemetry package that even includes a factory video camera.

Red brake calipers, matching seat belts, 20-inch black wheels and embroidered ‘Cavallino Rampante’ logos on the headrests were also fitted as ordered by the first owner. The bodywork is finished in a distinctive Bianco Avus, a nice departure from most crimson Rosso Corsa.

As one of the first hybrid supercars, along with the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder, the LaFerrari is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3lt V12 teamed with an electric motor and KERS system. It produces 963 PS and 900 Nm.

The acceleration from 0-100 km/h is completed in less than 2.5″ and the top speed reaches 350 km/h, which obviously this particular car has not verified in practice.

Ferrari is preparing its successor, which is rumored to debut sometime this year. Codenamed F250, the new model is rumored to use a hybrid V6, replacing Ferrari’s legendary V12.
