First publication: Will Maccabi Haifa lose one of its most significant players in the coming January? The Sports Channel has learned that the Dutch luxury club, Feyenoord, is interested in the connection of the greens and is ready to pay about three million euros for him already in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old Mohamed joined Maccabi Haifa at the beginning of last season after moving to them from Betar Jerusalem, and quickly became one of the most significant players in Barak Becher’s squad. This season, he also proved himself in the Champions League with several impressive performances both in the qualifiers and in the group stage.

It should be noted that the Dutch were favorably impressed by the Haifa connection in the meetings between the teams in the conference last season and no less than by Muhammad’s European campaign during which Maccabi Haifa qualified for the Champions League this season. The Haifa club would like to see Muhammad continue beyond 2024, but they will not stand in his way if they do receive an offer of this magnitude.

Feyenoord is considered one of the luxury teams in the Netherlands along with Ajax and PSV Eindhoven. She has 15 championships and won the European Championship in 1969. The team plays in the famous stadium – The Kip – which has about 50 thousand seats.

Feyenoord, guided by Erna Sloot, is ranked first in the league with 33 points in 14 rounds. Last season the team reached the final of the Conference League and lost 1:0 to Roma. Ofir Marciano plays in the team’s squad, who serves as Justin Billo’s assistant goalkeeper.
