The police headquarters of Fez, like other regions of the Kingdom, has taken a series of preventive measures in terms of human and logistical resources, deployed on the ground to ensure the safety and security of citizens and protect their property.
In a statement to the press, the Prefect of Police of Fez, Mohamed Ou Alla Ouhtit, indicated that “as part of the New Year, the police prefecture of Fez has mobilized all the human and material resources at its disposal to ensure efficient security support for these celebrations.”
“All components and security units will ensure the maintenance of public order until morning in the service of the inhabitants and visitors of the spiritual city of the Kingdom,” he stressed.
For his part, the Chief of Staff of the Urban Corps of the Fez Police Prefecture, Boulahbach Mohamed, said that the prefecture has mobilized all of its units to secure all sensitive points at the entrances and exits of the city, guarantee the fluidity of traffic and the security of restaurants, hotels and places that experience a large crowd during the end-of-year celebrations.
“The police presence will be exhaustive in popular and residential neighborhoods, on major arteries to deal with all the problems that may arise during the New Year,” he said, adding that dog squads have also been deployed at the city’s judicial roadblocks.
