The University of Meknes occupied first place with regard to the implementation of the regional master plan for continuing education and the effective monitoring of the implementation of its programs in Meknes and El Hajeb, said the UMI in a communicated.

The university recalls that the regional master plan for continuing education was developed to strengthen the skills of members of local authority councils and their expertise, adding that this success reflects the university’s determination to promote quality and excellence. for further development.

Adopted in 2018 by the regional council of Fez-Meknes, the regional master plan for continuing education is a document developed by a multidisciplinary scientific committee, made up of professors from the five universities in the region, in application of the partnership agreement which binds the parties.

The development of this plan, which was entrusted to the universities of the region in view of the quality and know-how of their executives, concerns all elected officials of the local authorities of Fez-Meknes, in application of the provisions of organic laws relating to local authorities which insist on the right of elected officials to training.

The recommended training strategy is based on continuity, adaptation of training to the needs and specificities of local authorities, respect for the gender approach, mobilization of financial resources and adoption of the principles of quality and assessment.

This training is divided into seven main areas, focusing in particular on territorial decentralization, strategic territorial planning, socio-economic interventions of communities, financial management, town planning and regional development, methods of public management of the territory and skills building.
