Among the men, Khalid Reteib, originally from the town of Tiflet, managed to win this race in a time of 1h 36m 4s, followed by Said Asmar and Bouazza Salhi.
Among the ladies, the native of Fez, Meriem Nouri, occupied 1st place in the half-marathon after recording a time of 1h 22m 26s, while second place went to Lamia Lahlou and third to Rim Lahlou .
The 10 km event was won by Bouazza Kassaoui, ahead of Adnan Mhamdi and Ayoub Boughaneb.
In the women’s category, Sakina Hamam won in this race, followed by Fatima Zahra Bouzi and Hanane Zeniche.
In the 5 km race reserved for men, first place went to Abdelali Chaaibia, while Issa Ouassia placed second and Marouan Fatji third.
Among the ladies, first place went to Aya Fathi and second and third positions were won respectively by Khatam Bahali and Yousra Hassi.
In a statement to the press, the former Olympic champion and president of the Dila Athletic association, Abderrahim Bouramdan, indicated that this sporting event aims to encourage citizens to practice running, noting a project to organize a marathon with the participation of runners from different countries.
He added that this race was marked by the participation of athletes from different cities in the Kingdom and abroad.
The 3rd edition of Fez Running Festival began on Saturday with the programming of a 2 km race dedicated to children, in which nearly 350 runners participated.
Nearly 1,500 runners, men and women, took part in the 5 km, 10 km and 21 km (half-marathon) events.
