Auto giant Stellantis has confirmed that the current-generation Fiat Panda will continue to be produced at the Pomigliano plant in Italy until 2030. Production of this model was initially set to end at the end of 2026, but was recently extended to the end of 2027.
This is good news for all factory workers who can rest easy until 2030 given Panda’s excellent sales. The Italian company introduced the first model back in 1980
The latest from Panda brings with it some technological advancements, starting with a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a revised steering wheel and a DAB radio controlled by a 7.0-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay .
The range of driving assistance systems offered as standard on the new Fiat Panda has also been extended. According to the requirements of the new European standards, the update led to the installation of automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistant, driver fatigue detection and road sign recognition. New rear parking sensors make parking easier, while new cruise control improves highway driving comfort.
