It is noteworthy that people from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines have been hired.

The Qatari government’s treatment of workers over the past 12 years has drawn severe criticism worldwide. It was alleged that workers were hired for long hours without proper security. And laborers were forced to work for up to 12 hours straight in Qatar’s high temperatures. As many as six thousand people have died due to various reasons including extreme weather and high temperature.

About 140 cases of labor rights violations have been reported to Qatari courts. Last year alone, 25 deaths have been reported.
