The Privatisation Push and the Scrapped FFE Project

Whistleblowers revealed that Infantino eyed a $30 million salary plus bonuses to lead the new commercial entity, contrasting with his official 4.8 million Swiss franc salary as president of the non-profit governing body.
Infantino initially gave football associations until September 19 to back proposals offering a £30.1m incentive to accept private investment into future World Cup profits. Although the plan promised each FIFA member association upwards of $20 million as a one-time developmental investment, the strategy collapsed under sustained resistance.
Global Rejection and the UEFA-Led Boycott Threat
Resistance solidified quickly across multiple continents. England and the other 54 UEFA member nations reached a unanimous agreement during crisis talks over proposals to generate £3.1billion in investment for FIFA tournaments. European football’s governing body condemned the strategy in unequivocal terms, with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin condemning the plans against transferring ownership interests to private capital.
