The Junior (Under 17) Women’s World Cup football tournament has been held every 2 years since 2008. According to this, the 7th Junior Women’s World Cup started yesterday in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai in India.

A total of 16 teams have participated in this football festival. In this tournament, which is being held for the first time in India, the Indian team has got an opportunity as the host nation. On the opening day of the match yesterday, the USA defeated the Indian team with a score of 8-0.

In today’s Group ‘D’ match Canada-France teams clashed. Canada’s Anabelle Chukwu scored the first goal of the match in the 67th minute before France’s Lucie Galba replied six minutes later to level the match. The match then ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams scoreless. In another match (Group C) in Navi Mumbai, China defeated Mexico 2-1.
