Fifth place for Anastasia Gurbanko in the World Cup final

Anastasia Gurbanko tonight (Sunday) recorded the record achievement of an all-time Israeli swimmer in world championships, finishing fifth in the final of the 200 individual medley at the championships held in Budapest, with a time of 2: 11.02 minutes.

To date, the record achievement of Israeli swimming in world championships in long pools has been the sixth place, achieved by four different swimmers: Vered Borochovsky in 50 butterfly in 2003, Miki Malul in 50 breaststroke in 2007, Gal Nevo in 400 personal medley in 2009 and Guy Barnea in 50 backstroke in 2011.

The winner of the ointment was the American Alex Walsh with 2: 07.13 minutes, followed by the Australian Kylie McEeon with 2: 08.57 minutes, third with a world world record was the American Leah Hayes with 2: 08.91 minutes and the fourth was the Japanese Rika Omoto with 2: 10.01 minutes. Tomorrow Gorbanko will have a day off, after which she will continue, when she is expected to take part in the 50 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 400 individual medley, 200 backstroke and of course the apostles’ anointing.
