He stressed that Usyk was well prepared both physically, which was perfectly visible, and “on the mental level.”

Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk confidently defeated British opponent Anthony Joshua in the main boxing match of the season at Tottenham Hotspur Arena in London by unanimous decision of the judges, holding the leader for all 12 rounds. In total, the heavyweight champion has 19 victories, 13 of which – by knockout. Now Usyk is the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
On September 25, Russian boxer Mikhail Aloyan expressed the opinion that Alexander Usyk could defeat Anthony Joshua, provided he stakes on intellectual boxing and moves the fight to the later rounds. Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov said that he would root for Usik, even though their chances are 50-50.
On September 26, boxer Khariton Agrba commented on Usyk’s victory, stressing that “boxing IQ”, speed, technique, self-confidence and constant work on oneself are very important in a fight.
Former WBA heavyweight boxing champion Nikolai Valuev said that although the majority hoped for a draw at the most, “everyone was rooting, of course, for Alexander Usik.”
