For a couple of seasons now, one of the novels of each transfer market has been the search for Domenico Pozzovivo’s contract. And everything indicates that history will repeat itself.

The 40-year-old runner does not have an offer for 2024 and, for example, it is appropriate to remember that this year it took him several months to reach an agreement with Israel, with whom he began competing in March. “I have nothing for next year,” he told Wielerflits.

“After my last competition of the season I will see how everything goes,” he added. “There’s not much interest, so I may retire. I still have legs and motivation to continue, but if I can’t, I’ll say enough is enough,” explained the Italian.

“I will probably decide at the end of October. If there is a contract, I will continue, if not I will resign,” concluded the experienced athlete, who has accumulated 24 grand laps in his legs, including eight top 10 (the last in 2022) over 19 seasons as a professional.
