Figuig: completion of 62 health projects during the 3rd phase of the INDH

These projects are part of the Initiative’s various programs aimed at contributing to and strengthening health indicators, particularly those relating to maternal and child health, one of the priority areas of the INDH’s interventions in its third phase. as part of its 4th program “Improving the human capital of rising generations”, according to data from the Social Action division of the province of Figuig, made public on the occasion of World Health Day (April 7 ).

In this regard, the Provincial Human Development Committee equipped the mother and child department of the Hassan II provincial hospital, as well as a set of health centers and dispensaries intended for maternal and child health and programmed the construction and equipment of three maternity wards, in addition to the acquisition of 15 ambulances, 8 mobile medical units, as well as the organization of a series of medical campaigns for the benefit of mothers and children.

The initiative, through its second program “Support for people in precarious situations”, also contributed to the improvement of health services offered to people suffering from kidney failure, the construction and equipment of the hemodialysis center of the commune of Bni Tidjit and support for the two associations responsible for managing the hemodialysis center in the communes of Bouarfa and Bni Tidjit, in addition to providing the two centers with two buses for the transport of patients suffering from renal failure.

According to the same source, the Initiative also pays particular attention to the category of people with disabilities, in this sense its interventions focused on the construction of two centers intended for this category, the rehabilitation and extension of two others , as well as the equipment of these structures.

The INDH, in its 3rd phase, tends to improve the health offer and health indicators in the province of Figuig through its interventions in early childhood development because investment in human capital begins from the first stages of the child’s life.

The commemoration of World Health Day is an opportunity to highlight the efforts made by the National Initiative for Human Development, and its various partners, to improve health provision and the services provided to citizens in this area. .
