(ANSA) – PARIS, MAY 13 – The director Artus and the actors – people with mental disabilities – of his film “Un p’tit truc en plus” (‘A little something more’) will be present – as guests – at the Festival of Cannes. This was announced by Artus himself, director of the film which has surprisingly been at the top of the box office since May 1st, regretting however that “no luxury brand wanted to lend the clothes” to the protagonists.
“We’re coming on the 22nd,” Artus declared, as his film surpassed 1.6 million admissions. The 15 protagonists will meet on the prestigious steps of the Festival Palace: “there will be 11 disabled actors and 4 non-disabled actors, 4… pain in the ass I dare say”, he added jokingly.
According to him, contrary to custom, no luxury fashion brand wanted to lend evening dresses to the crew for this appearance on the “tapis rouge”: “I don’t understand why – he added – they bring up quota stories, they say ‘we already have lent all our clothes'”. “But I – he underlines – think that it is always more elegant for a brand to dress Brad Pitt than to give clothes to Artus, and even worse to actors with disabilities. But it is not serious – he continued – it will be the film’s costume designers who will prepare all beautiful dresses and will go great.”
The film, which has made more entries since its release than “Dune 2” and “Kung Fu Panda 4”, the record holders of the moment, tells the story of two thieves on the run who end up in a holiday camp for disabled people. (HANDLE).
