Film Exhibitors’ Federation says no ban on Dulquer Salman and Wafer Films

The Film Exhibitors Federation has said it will not ban actor Dulquer Salman and his production company Wafer Films. The decision was taken after an executive meeting today.

Dulquer’s films will be screened in theaters under the organization, Federation President Ramdas told reporters. The federation officials said that they have no quarrel with Dileep and Antony Perumbavoor and both are welcome to join the organization. The group added that there was a situation where many people were returning from Fiok.

The group also criticized Fiok’s decision to ban the fan show. The federation said the fans’ association was part of the film industry and therefore had no objection to holding a fan show. However, OTT’s films will not be shown in theaters again.

Dulquer Salman and his production company were banned by Fiok following their decision to give the salute to OTT. There were reports today that there was a move to expel Dileep and Antony Perumbavoor from Fiok, the theater owners’ organization. He is both the life chairman and vice chairman of the organization.
