Film market of the countries of East and Central Asia within the framework of the “Creative Week”

Azerbaijan will host from October 2 to 8 “Creative Week” (Creative Week)organized by the Ministry of Culture, the press service of the department told Day.Az.

“Creative Week” is an initiative that brings together local and international experts in the field of culture and creative industries as part of the implementation of the “Strategy for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026”, approved by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2022.

The main goal of the project is the formation of culture and creative industries (MYS) as a single ecosystem, supporting the activities of participants in this area, as well as encouraging industry clustering.

The “Creative Week” will be attended by heads of relevant government agencies, representatives of the creative sector and international and local organizations, hundreds of creative individuals, companies and public associations.

As part of the events, for the first time in Azerbaijan, film festivals will be held on the Baku Cinema Breeze platform, the X Baku International Book Exhibition and various other creative events.

Within the framework of the Baku Cinema Breeze platform, events will be held – the XV Baku International Film Festival, the VIII International Documentary Film Festival DokuBaku, the VII International Animation Festival ANİMAFILM, Acceleration of Animators and the Turkish Animation Festival “Alove”.

For the first time, a film market for the countries of East and Central Asia will be organized in Azerbaijan.

The 10th Baku International Book Exhibition will be an ideal platform for interacting with consumers, sharing local and international experiences and ideas on developing the book business in the digital era.
