Kottayam: Renowned manufacturer and owner of Prakat Jewelery Joseph Abraham (Prakat Jose 70) has passed away. He had been in treatment for a long time. He was staying at Prakat’s residence near Kottayam Moolavattom Guest House. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Lourdes Church Cemetery.
He has produced films like Olangal, Yathra, Oomakkuyil, Koodanayum Kaat. Yathra was released in 1985 and starred Mammootty and Shobhana in the lead roles. The theme of the trip is the story of the human rights violations committed by the police and prison authorities during the Emergency. Olangal is a 1982 Malayalam film directed by Balu Mahendra and directed by Eric Saigal.
Wife: Rosamma Arpookkara is a member of the Pulikkaparambil family. Children: Don Prakat, Kareena and Appu. Film actor George Kurian is the brother-in-law of Pulikkaparambil.
