Final: John Dibertolomeo continues with Maccabi Tel Aviv

by time news

After several days of talks, today (Wednesday) we can finally say: John Dibertolomeo Will continue with Maccabi Tel Aviv and will open his sixth season in yellow-blue.

Both sides had options to exit the contract, but both the team and Dibertolomeo gave up on that option and decided to continue writing their joint story. As far as Maccabi Tel Aviv is concerned, Oded Katash has pushed very hard to keep the captain for the last four years, while the player himself also wanted to stay.

The point is that in recent days there have been financial negotiations between Maccabi and Dibertolomeo, but in the end it was agreed that the conditions will remain similar to those of last season. Last year the 31-year-old guard averaged 7.7 points in the regular season in the league and 5.7 in the playoffs.

After the story closed with Dibertolomeo, Katsch’s staff at Maccabi Tel Aviv includes eight new foreigners who have signed, along with six Israelis: Roman Sorkin, Yiftach Ziv, Jake Cohen and of course Dibertolomeo who continue from last season, as well as Guy Pnini and Rafi Manko who joined in the summer.
