jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI Perjuangan officially announced the dismissal of the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) from membership in the political party bearing the white snout bull symbol.

This dismissal is as stated in the decision letter number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 which was signed by the Ketum and PDIP Secretary General Megawati Soekarnoputri and Hasto Kristiyanto dated December 4.

“Giving organizational sanctions in the form of dismissing Joko Widodo from membership in the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle,” said Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Honorary Affairs Komarudin Watubun in a video statement delivered to media crew, Monday (16/12).

Komarudin was accompanied by other PDIP elites when announcing Jokowi’s dismissal, namely Olly Dondokambey, Said Abdullah, and Bambang Wuryanto or Pacul.

Komarudin said PDIP prohibited Jokowi from carrying out activities or holding positions in the name of red political parties.

“As of the issuance of this letter of dismissal, the PDI Perjuangan DPP has no relationship and is not responsible for anything done by brother Joko Widodo,” said the DPR RI Commission II legislator.

Komarudin said PDIP would take responsibility for the decision to dismiss Jokowi at the party congress in 2025.

“The announcement of this decision is valid from the set date and if there is any confusion at a later date, it will be reviewed and corrections made as necessary,” said Komarudin.
