The iconic Kawasaki Z900 is updated in 2025 with an update that refines the design, improves ergonomics and enhances the performance of this naked supersport, maintaining the essence of the Sugomi style that characterizes the Z line. With important improvements in the chassis part and the braking system, an optimized engine and a complete electronic system, The new Z900 is more efficient and better equipped than ever.
The 2025 Z900 is equipped with the well-known 948 cc inline four-cylinder engine, which in this edition delivers 124 HP (91 kW) at 9,500 rpm, slightly lower than the previous version, which reached 125 HP (92.2 kW ). Howeverthis adjustment allows an increase in torque at low and medium rpmwhich translates into a more immediate and controlled response in daily use. For the European market, Kawasaki also offers versions of the Z900 in 70 kW and 35 kW configurationsintended for the A2 licence.
To do this, the camshaft profiles were updated and the ECU parameters were adjusted, lachieving fuel savings of up to 16% and a reduction in CO₂ emissions. Furthermore, the new electronic throttle valves improve throttle control, offering smoother and more precise acceleration, especially useful on urban routes and high-traffic roads.
Kawasaki also incorporated it into the 2025 Z900 an advanced electronic management system with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)which continuously monitors the behavior of the motorcycle. This system facilitates the integration of KTRC traction control and power modes, allowing the rider to choose between different settings to adapt the motorcycle’s performance to road conditions or their own riding style.
One of the most important updates of this new generation is the incorporation of Nissin four-piston radial brake calipers on the front axlea change that Z900 fans have been waiting for for a long time. These calipers, together with the new Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres, provide a highly precise braking system and better grip on all types of asphalt, especially during heavy braking.
The Sugomi style of the Z900 becomes even more evident in the 2025 model, with a sharp design and details that give it a futuristic and cutting-edge air. On the front, The bike incorporates a new double LED headlight, which improves visibility in night conditions and provides a more aggressive aesthetic. The LED taillight, meanwhile, features 3D light-guiding technology that reinforces the distinctive style of the Z900.
Furthermore, the bike has new side protections in brushed aluminium which increase the quality of the finish and give it a more robust image.
In terms of ergonomics, Kawasaki has designed a new, flatter seat with thicker padding, using urethane to improve comfort on long journeys. To accommodate the height of different users, the 2025 Z900 offers two seating options: el ERGO-FIT High, of 830 mm, y el ERGO-FIT Low, of 810 mm, providing a proper fit for added comfort and safety when stopping.
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 incorporates a 5-inch full color TFT instrument systemwhich presents all the information in a clear and customizable format. As a new feature, the Z900 now offers a turn-by-turn navigation system that displays directions directly on the TFT panel via the Rideology App. This feature allows the rider to know in advance when to turn and, together with the integrated voice functions, offers an intuitive and safe navigation experience.
For the most demanding, Kawasaki offers the Z900 SE versionwhich incorporates premium Brembo M4.32 monobloc brakes and an Öhlins S46 rear shock, with multiple adjustment options. This version also features an adjustable front fork for complete customization, adapting to the rider’s needs in sport riding. The SE version also includes the 2025 Z900 a USB-C charging socket on the dashboardwhich makes it easier to charge mobile devices while traveling.
Kawasaki offers the 2025 Z900 in three distinctive color combinations:

In the case of the 2025 Z900 SE, only the Metallic Matte Graphite Gray / Ebony / Metallic Graphite Gray finish is available.
At the moment Kawasaki Spain has not communicated the price of its new Z900 nor of the Z900 SE variant. For reference, the recommended price of current models They start from 10,650 and 12,250 euros respectively.
