The company Finalmouse, which produces computer accessories and peripherals, introduced the Centerpiece, a mechanical keyboard with a display under the keys. The Finalmouse Centerpiece will cost $349. It is stated that sales of an unusual keyboard will start in early 2023.

The novelty is made using the Laminated DisplayCircuit Glass Stack technology, which made it possible to place a full-size color screen under the set of mechanical keys, the images on which can be changed at the user’s choice.

The Centerpiece features Gateron-designed mechanical keys that have been reconfigured for faster actuation. At the base of the keyboard, which body is made of anodized aluminum, in addition to the display, its own processor and graphics processor are built in to control the screen. The novelty is connected to the computer via a USB-C cable.

According to Finalmouse, after the release of the keyboard on the market, a platform will be created for the sale of graphic skins for the device. All interested designers will be able to develop and sell their own design options for the accessory.
