Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met today (Sunday) in the USA with Bonds President Danny Neve and Chairman of the Board of Directors Howard Goldstein, the meeting takes place a few hours before Smotrich’s speech at the main event of the Bonds Conference.
At the meeting, those present discussed Israel’s stable and strong economic position in the world and the challenges at hand. Smotrich: “The Bonds organization is an important economic pillar that contributes to Israel’s economy and its development. Bonds investors have been investing and believing in the State of Israel for over seventy years and I came here to say first and foremost – thank you.
In the last months as Minister of Finance, I am making every effort to strengthen the State of Israel. I am working to lower the cost of living, to increase competition in the economy and more. I am taking steps to ensure that Israel follows a responsible fiscal policy that will maintain a stable and strong economy. I am sure that the continued activity of the bond investors will contribute both to strengthening the relationship between Israel and Diaspora Jewry and to Israel’s economic contribution as an international power.”
