(24 News) Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb‘s important meetings are going on in Washington in which it is agreed to increase partnership in various fields.

In the meeting of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb with his Saudi counterpart, it was agreed to expand bilateral cooperation and increase partnership in various fields, while the Finance Minister along with the economic team also participated in the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank. During the meetings, Mohammad Aurangzeb discussed taxation, energy, privatization while also informed about digitization and reforms in various sectors.

Mohammad Aurangzeb met with the Regional Vice President of International Finance Corporation and expressed his commitment to work with IFC in priority areas.

The Finance Minister also met the presidents of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank and discussed important issues including increasing partnership, while Muhammad Aurangzeb also invited the presidents of the two banks to visit Pakistan.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb also met CEO DFC Scott Nathan in which expansion of investment in Pakistan was discussed.

On the occasion of the Finance Minister’s meeting with World Bank President Ajay Banga, the two leaders agreed on the need for a rolling country framework plan for 10 years.

The World Bank President also supported the stabilization of Pakistan’s economy and tax increase programs.
