In the second quarter of this year, the financial flow in Azerbaijan reached 26.5 billion manats, which is 18.8 percent more compared to the same period last year, Day.Az reported on Friday.

According to the Central Bank of Russia, the largest share of total revenues for the last quarter came from the public administration and defense sectors (27.9%), wholesale and retail trade (15.1%), and construction (11.7%).

Over the past year, the public administration and defense sectors (growth by 1.6 billion manat) and construction (growth by 722.8 million manat) have made a significant contribution to the increase in revenues.

It should be noted that the National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the establishment of the National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated February 11, 1992 and was renamed the “Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan” in connection with the entry into force of the Referendum Act of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 18, 2009 “On amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

The main objective of the Central Bank is to maintain price stability within the limits of its powers established by law.
