Financial success is greater than artistic value; Chiranjeevi: His movie is what fans want

by time news

Even after four and a half decades in South Indian cinema, Chiranjeevi makes films only for his fans beyond film buffs. Chiranjeevi’s mass films are getting huge popularity among Telugus even though the actor is criticized for not doing artistic films. The latest film Walter Veeriah is also a film on the same track that the star is following. The makers have released a trailer that underlines that Walter Veeriah is a film that reminds us of that energetic old superstar of the 90s. Now, Chiranjeevi says that he gives more importance to the financial success of his films than the artistic value of them.

“Most of my commercial films are doing well. I act every scene imagining how the audience and fans will react. Personally, as an actor I want to play different roles. That’s why you saw me in Krushi, Apatbandhavadu and Mantrigari Viyankoot. However, I realized that giving the fans what they want is more important than making my own choices.

“Producers and distributors who take up films with me have to be safe, that’s what made me choose commercial films. I want to do films like Drishyam and Vikram. But the audience decides when to do it. People are also asking me about becoming a director. I also dream of working behind the camera,’ said Chiranjeevi.
