The server seed is a character string that serves as the basis for generating a Minecraft world. It is a starting value from which Minecraft creates the respective map. Each seed leads to a different map and represents a basic property of that map.
If several players use the same seed, they get access to the same Minecraft map. So if you want to share it with other players, you need the corresponding server seed to pass it on.
This can be done in Minecraft in a short time and without much effort. The following three steps are required:
Minecraft will now show you the server seed in the chat. You can copy it and share it with other players if necessary.
A notice: On multiplayer servers, only the responsible operator has the option to retrieve the seed. In single player mode, however, any Minecraft player can find out the server seed.
