After their surprise collapse at Wembley against Greece for the UEFA Nations League, England recover and defeat Finland this Sunday with 1-3 as a visitor for date 4 of group 2 of Series B.
The team led by Lee Carsley started to win the game and they did so before 20 minutes played with Jack Grealish who, after some genius from Ángel Gomes, came into the area and beat goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky with his right foot to the long pole.
Already in the second half, England increased the score with Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring the ball after a free kick taken from the edge of the area. Ten minutes later, Declan Rice made it 0-3 on a counter-attack by Ollie Watkins who went as far as the line and crossed a ball to the Arsenal midfielder who only had to push it into the back of the net.
At the end of the game, Finland decorated the result with Arttu Hoskonen who took a corner kick from the right and sent it to the near post.
With this result, England are in second place with nine points and on the next day, which will be the FIFA date in November, they will face Greece at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
