The Malayalam film industry is upset with the recent Justice Hema Committee report which revealed discrimination and exploitation faced by women. The rest of the film industry is also feeling the impact of the report. Among many bigwigs of Malayalam cinema facing allegations of sexual misconduct, famous dance choreographer Jani, popularly known as Jani Master, has been embroiled in a sexual harassment case. According to news agency PTI, the police said that a woman had filed a complaint against him. The complainant had previously worked with Jani. She alleged sexual harassment and misbehavior in her complaint. According to the news agency, the Raidurgam police in Telangana initially registered a zero FIR and then transferred the case to the Narsingi police station on Sunday night.
