Yesterday, there was a fire at the LIC building located on Anna Road in Chennai. This building has stood tall for 70 years and is a landmark in the city. The fire broke out on the terrace of the building where a large digital name board was installed. The incident was immediately reported to the fire department by onlookers. Firefighters from three different stations arrived along with two sky lift vehicles, which are used to put out fires in tall buildings. Fortunately, the fire was under control within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical leakage in the digital name board, and the Anna Road police are investigating the matter.

Yesterday evening, this name board suddenly caught fire. People noticed this and immediately informed the fire department.

Firefighters from Tiruvallikeni, Egmore and Thenampet stations arrived. Two ‘Sky Lift’ vehicles, which are used to extinguish fires in high-rise buildings, have also arrived.

As a result, the fire was extinguished within half an hour. It seems that the fire may have been caused by an electrical leakage in the ‘Digital’ name board. Anna road police are investigating this.
